FABRICATION & PRODUCTION

 

Sensenich's maintains design and manufacturing competencies in composite, metal, and laminated wood materials, and can perform reverse engineering services. We offer prototype through full-rate production quantities, and maintain FAA and Military approval for our Quality Assurance and Process Specifications.

 

Custom or Reverse Engineering

Sensenich can design and fabricate a custom design to customer's requirements. Likewise, a customer can provide an existing part to be reverse engineered and improved. As design and materials technologies progress, a fresh look at a part or process can often reveal new efficiencies and savings.

 

Equipment

We utilize several types of CNC manufacturing equipment, including vertical machining centers, vertical routers, and a ply cutter. A Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) provides highly accurate inspection for first article items and production parts. Several heated composite presses are used for internal pressure and/or compression molding. Sensenich also maintains a full wood-working shop and heated paint booth with air make-up system.

 

Inspection

Level of in-process and final inspection is tailored for the particular product type and customer requirements. Key geometric characteristics are verified with an FAA approved Tool and Gage System with ANSI traceability. Key manufacturing and composite process characteristics are measured and recorded.

 

Quality Assurance

Sensenich maintains an FAA / Military approved Quality System and Process Specifications per Mil-I-45208 and Mil-Q-9858A. Sensenich also has a Production Certificate, Repair Station Certificate, and has numerous Type Certificates for propellers. Certificates of Conformance are provided upon customer request.
